He/She has grown quite a bit since the pic was taken and is a eating machine. I am feeding med. size mice one & 2 at a time 4 days a week with an odd chick here and there (those are his fav).

How big is it? 18-22"? Looks healthy! What color cross banding/occelli does/did it have? If you have him set up right they can easily process daily feeding, if not multiple feedings per day. With high temp basking spots they maximize their metabolism resulting in a voracious feeding/growing beast! I used to feed them every other day or so until i began hanging out with the high guru of monitor husbandry(yeah..frank retes...he taught me so much its insane!) And saw the way of the lizard...heat em and feed em then watch em grow...then watch em breed. He got me to where i got my rough necks laying regularly! I am fascinated by the variety of coloration in baby rough necks. Does anyone have information pertaining to locality specifics in regards to juvinile patterning and pigmentation? I ve had ones that had yellow spots, others orange, green, or blue(my fav..) My last female i raised from a youngster that not only had the blue occelli but also displayed an emerald blue-green cast over most of her body and neck. Or course as she matured this diminished considerably but some blue tinting did persist.
